This is weird. If I plug my phone into the charger in my work truck, it immediately dies and will not turn back on until I plug it into my car. I’ve even tried using the charger from my car in the truck, and no dice. What gives?
(Is it possible that the cord I'm using is cross-wired and sending the current through my phone backwards, or something?)

Is the outlet 24V?

Perhaps the voltage is too high or too low. Maybe it’s wired backwards. If the charger works in your car but not the truck, then the problem isn’t the charger.
